Welcome to Springtime at St Mary’s
This week we welcomed the girls back to a term of light evenings, tennis after prep, and the opportunity to sit around the glorious grounds chatting to friends. At this time of year, St Mary’s and its stunning 52 acre estate is at its absolute best and the setting, surrounded by beautiful Dorset/Wiltshire countryside, is perfect for pupils preparing for exams. Bluebells line the banks of the driveway, the rhododendron bushes have burst into bloom, the fragrant lily-of-the-valley spread like a white carpet around the school and the scent of wild garlic fills the air.
Many of the girls enjoy spending time caring for the St Mary’s animals who live on the estate, enabling them to switch off from life in the classroom. The wonderful grounds and nature that surround us play a crucial part in the wellbeing and pastoral care of the girls, enabling them to strive academically and fulfill their potential.
We would particularly like to express a warm welcome to our new families who have joined St Mary’s this term.
