Speaker Visit for Sixth Form
As part of the sixth form weekly speaker programme, Peter Radford visited to talk about his work in support of Amnesty International. The girls watched some thought-provoking film clips and were taught more about the differences between asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants. Mr Radford spoke about the collective power of speaking out against injustice towards, “refugees running for their lives,” and using one’s voice to change the world.
He concluded by quoting Edmund Burke: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.”
