Rome Trip 2019
Sixth form classicists and History of Art students recently returned from a wonderful trip to Rome. The girls visited the ruins of Ancient Rome, Via Appia Antica and the Catacombe di san Callisto, as well as the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, many beautiful churches, the Tempietto di Bramante, and nearly all the best places of the ‘centro storico’ including the stunning Galleria del Palazzo Doria Pamphili. Megan F said,”The Sistine Chapel at the Vatican was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!”
The group enjoyed many coffee stops in bars and gelateries and ate in some super restaurants around Trastevere, where they stayed. Commenting on the trip, Emma C said, “It was an amazing experience and Rome is an incredibly beautiful city, not just because of the ancient buildings but also because of the delicious ice cream!”
The trip was a great success and Mrs Blanco said, “The girls were beautifully behaved throughout and a joy to be with.”
