LIII Trip to Normandy
Last week the LIII had an action packed three days in Normandy, staying on the idyllic island of Tatihou. Part of the fun was a visit to Ecole Ste Marie where girls enjoyed chatting and playing with children their age; the French equivalent of ‘duck, duck, goose’ : ‘tomate, tomate, ketchup’ was a particular success!
They spent a lovely day in Bayeux and enjoyed buying an ice cream and having lunch at Les Normandises, as well as visiting the beautiful cathedral and Bayeux tapestry. The market in St Vaaast La Hougue was another great success and many souvenirs were bought to bring home.
The weather was wonderful and evenings were spent playing on the beach, exploring the old prison (scary!) and watching the beautiful sunsets after delicious suppers.
On the final day, the girls visited a goat farm, followed by a tasting session of goats’ cheese.
Everyone returned home having had an amazing time en France! Special thanks to Mrs Rowland for organising the trip and to Mrs Cheadle and Miss Connolly for their boundless energy and enthusiasm.
