Boarders Enjoy First Weekend of Term

Boarders enjoyed a superb first weekend back at school. A large group of girls braved the windy conditions and successfully completed their Bronze and Silver DofE expeditions, returning to school to warm baths and hot chocolate.

The first enrichment of the term included cooking, animal husbandry, bushcraft and a fun arts and craft session. On Saturday night, boarders enjoyed a pool party followed by a fun quiz organised by the Gaps.

On Sunday, after a welcome lie-in, there was a typically British Enid Blyton-style day out to Corfe Castle and then on to Swanage via the steam railway.

We are looking forward to the Weldmar Hospice Bubble Rush in Weymouth next weekend and plans are afoot for a ‘camp out’ in the Walled Garden this term.

Our new boarders have settled in well and we hope that everyone has a lovely Bank Holiday Exeat weekend.
